My name is Pat Schloss. This will be my first year at St. A’s. I grew up in Riverside, Iowa, attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from Highland. I received my BA from Iowa Wesleyan in elementary education, PE, health, and coaching. I also have taught driver’s ed. I taught at East Buchanan for 40 years; 20 years in 5th grade, 7 years in middle/high school PE, and the last 13 years in elementary PE. I was also the Athletic Director for East Buchanan the last 13 years. I have coached middle and high school football, basketball, girls’ track, and cross country. I live in Winthrop with my wife, Teri, and our daughters Natalie and Melanie. My daughters both attend East Buchanan High School. My stepson, stepdaughter, and granddaughter live in Cedar Rapids. I enjoy Iowa Hawkeye sports, Kansas City Chiefs, reading, traveling, biking, attending plays and musicals, and visiting Disney World with my family. I’m looking forward to teaching at St. A’s and getting to know the students, staff, and families.
