Of particular note:
-
Masks are strongly recommended, but not required.
-
Isolation (For those testing positive for COVID or presumed positive (symptomatic after an known exposure)
-
Students, staff, and volunteers who test positive for COVID may return to school after five days of isolation IF they are asymptomatic AND they wear a mask for the next five days (days 6-10). (Note: to remove mask, they must be sitting 6 feet from others during lunch.)
-
If a student, staff member, or volunteer isn't able to wear a mask, the isolation requirement remains 10 days.
-
Anyone with a fever must still stay home until they are fever free for 24 hours.
-
-
Quarantine (For those exposed to a COVID-positive individual)
-
In Iowa, quarantining continues to be left to a family to determine. Please consult your family doctor or refer to the CDC guidance located here: CDC Covid guidance
-
-
Iowa Public Health Departments (Black Hawk & Buchanan Counties) no longer conduct contact tracing, therefore we are not able to notify families of Covid-19 exposures that occur at school.

As of 2/4/2022, we have less then 5 positive Covid-19 cases or individuals with symptoms waiting for test results in the school. Information about state and county positivity rates can be found here: https://coronavirus.iowa.gov/pages/case-counts
